Tap your heart out....

Well then.... Where to begin... I guess at ballet. It was my easiest class which I did in deshanked pointe shoes. That's about it.

MOVING ON!!!!

TAP!!! WOW, what can I say? Well remember this post? I'd been praying that my class would move up into advanced tap a lot. I didn't really WANT to be in advanced, but I DID want to make my teacher proud. So finally the big day came. We had a 15 minute break in between classes. We were all to nervous to eat whatever snack our moms shoved into our bags. We go in and.....

FORGET THE ADVANCED!!!! It was a VERY hard class. I felt bad for the three younger girls. They looked like they were having a very hard time (I gave them lots of hugs and high fives in the process). Despite being very hard though, we had so so so so so so so so so so much FUN! I really like my new teacher, but I'm really gonna miss my old one. I think the new one likes me :D, she told that:
  1. She liked my honesty, when we were going around saying our name, she said "Can I call you Jabber?" and I said "NO!" very quickly. Then she said "I really like your honesty"
  2. She liked how are I concentrated, we were doing triplets (tap triplets, NOT modern triplets) and she told me and the other girl I was with that she really liked how focused we were!
  3. She thought I my pull backs were really good. First she said singles, then she after I did 2 singles, she said one foot, I did 2 then she said other foot, then she quickly said changing, then I did a few of those, and then she taught me a new move (a hard one to), and then I did it, and she said "You are to good at these! I need to find you more to do!"
I think that even though we didn't move up, our old teacher would still be VERY proud of us.

    FIRST CLASS TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had our first class today!!!!! It was AWESOME!!!

It was pretty typical class. Barre, stretch, center, across the floor, and pointe. For the first couple weeks, we are just doing review from 3x. I'm OK with that. Dance intensive ballet was level 3, so it's probably good to take it slow.

The way my ballet teacher teaches, is he comes up with a set of combinations for us to do. And we do the same ones every week for about 6 weeks. It might sound boring, but it really isn't.

Back to the pointe (He he, get it?), so most of the combinations we did for the last 6 weeks in 3x last year. We are doing my favorite frappe\petite battement combination, AND my favorite pirouette combination!

Sadly, I haven't gotten to see the friends that I miss the most :'( All my friends in today's class did dance intensive, so I got to see them everyday for 3 weeks!

HOWEVER.... I GET TO SEE THEM ALL ON MONDAY :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

2 days until Ballet 3 and Tap

    4 days until Jazz

    5 days until Modern

    6 days until Ballet 3x

    YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

    The wait is almost over!!!!!

ONLY 2 DAYS TILL DANCE STARTS!!!!
AND... I get the first class of the year! Saturday is the first day, and Ballet 4 is the first class on Saturday!!!

What's up with me? SCHOOL! :P 7th grade is 10x harder than 6th grade.

Currently with school, I'm LOVING pre-algebra, and general science

And.... not so fond of the world history

I'm pretty much in between for Language Arts

    AND THE REST OF LIFE?
Well... I'm not exactly sure how I forgot to tell you guys this, but my parents made ME pay for one of my dance classes this year!!!!! Yup, I wanted to take jazz, and they said you take enough classes! If you want to take jazz, then YOU are paying for it. So I said OK. They way I'm earning the money, if by doing lots of extra chores for my parents. If I pick up extra money along the way (like when I babysit for people), I can choose if I want to add it in or not.

So my day looks like this:

    7:40- Wake up
    7:45- Eat breakfast
    8:15- Start School
12:00- Make lunch\ Eat lunch\ Listen to read aloud
    12:45- Go back to schoolwork
2:00- USUALLY finish school work and do chores
    2:30- Do EXTRA chores
    4:00- BE BORED
    6:30- Eat dinner
    7:00- BE BORED
    8:30- Read a book
    9:00- Go to bed

You can probably see why I want dance to start. THAT IS THE WORLD'S BORINGEST SCHEDULE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Super Summer #2

    2. I went down what could have been, the world's longest slip n' slide. It was made out of 4 billboard tarps, and a few hoses along the way! We kind of all slid 5 feet off the slide at the end, and everyone came home with multiple scratches\burns but it was VERY fun!

    One word.... BORED

What is my least favorite month of the year?

    AUGUST!

Why? You ask. Because it's the one month out of the whole year when I have the torture of school, but no dance.

Thankfully, dance starts in 1 WEEK AND 3 DAYS!!!!
I'm so excited!!!! I am kind of sad that summer is over :( So until dance starts, I'm gonna tell you one awesome thing that happened over the summer every day until dance starts so......

    1. I got to go to my church's annual food fight!!! Highlights of that were holding a cow's tongue and getting flicked with chocolate syrup!

    The Magic of dance...

I like to dance because the movement is so magical. I love to feel every muscle, every finger tip reaching and extending, out to new lengths that regular people don't feel. I'm able to express everything inside in an honest way.

I like being a dancer because I see the world in such a unique and different way. Nature isn't just full of leaves and ice that you slip on. Nature is full of movement, pattern, and change.

When I dance, I feel like a different person. I feel some sort of magic... not like in 3D movies. But like a fairy tale.... REALLY coming to life. There is magic everywhere, and I get to be a part of it.

I work so hard at it so I can feel like this, as long as humanly possible

    Do I sound crazy?

    Recital Info....?

So, the co-director at my studio got a text message from the director that said we are MOST LIKELY going to do
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for the recital?
Yup, it's true... Here are some different costumes that might be good for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
I hope we get to wear really poofy tutus like the ones above! Oh, and by the way, that costume with the pants and top.... My class wore the green one with capris when we did the wizard of oz. We were green, from the wiz.
