Lollipop, Lollipop, Oh, Lolli-Lolli-Lolli-Lollipop!

I thought that you all might like to know what the classes I'm helping out with are for recital! The pre-ballet class I help with is going to be part of the "Pure Imagination" dance, WHICH MY MODERN CLASS IS IN TO!  I'm so excited!!! I love all my little Pre-balleters, and I'm really excited that I get to be in the same dance with them!

Also, you can probably guess from the title what the creative movement girls are, LOLLIPOPS! Here are some cute costumes that would be good for Lollipops!

Disclaimer: These are not my photos, I give full credit to the owners of these photos

P.S. My BFF just broke her arm, and she has a cast that goes above her elbow, any ideas for things that we can do together than only require the use of 1 arm?

Goodness Gracious, Mercy Maine...

*Title comes from something my friend and I like to say :)*

Wow, just wow. Yesterday in Jazz, we found out what we are for recital.

Oompa Loompas

GREAT! RIGHT? I know, kind of odd choice since I'm 5' 7", there's another girl who's TALLER than I am, and nobody's very short. It will be pretty funny though! This is the song we are dancing to. (Not my video)

My New Beauty...

Doesn't it amaze you that there is so much to life, and so little to post about? I've been on a post freeze lately, not sure what to post about.

Remember how on Christmas I got a $100 gift card to American Girl? Well I FINALLY was able to order my doll, her name is Cynthia Rose, and here are a couple of photos.

Leaving the Cold (LITERALLY!)

Do any of you remember THIS post?  Well in it, I explained that we were trying to get a new building. We were able to quickly sell the old one to the dance team next door, but we had a REALLY hard time getting the building permits on our new building.

In November 2010, we started renting our old building from the dance team who now owns it. Problem was, was that they needed the building by December, and our new one wasn't ready yet. So we then had to temporarily move into an ice rink that has a dance studio (the skaters take ballet to help improve their technique). The studio at the ice rink was FREEZING! Let's just say it was a floor with a mirror and a couple barres in a storage closet with no heat...

WELL NOW! Finally! We are in our new building! I LOVE IT!!! The lobby is bigger, the colors are brighter (Studio A is Purple and Gold & Studio B is Turquoise and Brown!). It is so worth the wait! And I'm so glad we are here now! Pictures coming soon!

13 Thinks I've Learned in Life

1. We shouldn't take things forgranted

2. You can make Friends with anyone

3. Sometimes you just have to take the good with the bad

4. When you smile, you feel less pain (literally, Try it next time you do bourres in the center en pointe!)

5. You don't have to cover yourself with makeup to be beautiful

6. The way to get true friends is to be a first-rate you, instead of a second-rate someone else

7. If you put your mind to something, you can do it.

8. Even if you don't always get something right the first time, go back and try again

9. Listen to adults, they are wiser than you

10. To get good at something, you have to practice

11. Trust in God, he will never let you down.

12. Never ever give up

13. A true dancer dances with her heart and not her feet

I got a Golden Ticket!

Well, more like I AM a golden ticket. Yep, you heard me right. For tap, we are going to be golden tickets.... We are doing a dance with advanced tap. My class gets to wear gold costumes, while advanced gets to wear pedestrian clothes! I say no fair....

Anyway, we are dancing to a WAAAAAAAAAAY jazzed up version of this song (I do not own this song or video)

Hopefully I'll get a bareable costume. Cause let's just say, I got a tacky gold costume for The Wizard of Oz...
