Great job Lizzy!!!! My favorite dance of yours was "Outsiders". My main thought during that dance was 'Why can't I do cartwheels in my modern dance?'


Great job Amanda!!!! I REALLY liked 'Welcome to the Show', I thought that it was a very fun, and upbeat dance! And Britt Nicole is my favorite singer... :)



OK, so now for status update:

Modern: WE STILL HAVE 20 SECONDS LEFT TO CHOREOGRAPH... AND WE ONLY HAVE 2 CLASSES, DRESS REHEARSAL, AND RECITAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EEP! But we did add grabbing eachothers waists, and pulling the shadow that Peter Pan tries capturing away... IT'S FUNNY! And we also mock the Crocodile! :)

Tap: FABULOUS! I'm so excited! I have 4 more classes for that though, because we also have tap 2 to practice! I have tap tonight! I like going to tap 2, I get to see my little friend *****! (we were in tap together last year, but we are in different classes this year.)

Ballet thu: We still need to do our end pose... I missed class on Thursday cause I was sick... BUT my teacher was out of town, so they practiced the dance a few times with a sub. We have 3 classes left for that class. A few months ago, it snowed, and we missed class, so we still have a makeup class.


Ballet sat: It's done, but we need to practice a little bit more. It's a very pretty, and neat dance! We have 2 classes left for that dance.

Today is Giannna's dance recital! I just wanted to do a quick shout out to say good luck! I'm sure you'll be great!



Also, I want to wish Lizzy and Amanda good luck to, because they also have their recital this afternoon! Good luck guys!

The Usual.... AND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'M SOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE GOT OUR BALLET COSTUMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ballet 1 (who is in the same scene, but has a different dance) Has the same thing only purple!!!! Our costume also has a really pretty flower to go in your hair. I will try and take pictures (with my new camera!!!!!) of the flower, and my tap costume!!!!!

So, status:

Modern: We have about 30 seconds left still :(. Not to terribly great, but let's make the best of it. OUR DANCE IS SUPER FUNNY! We are all ganging up on Peter Pan! He he, I like it!

Tap: WE ARE DONE!!!!!!!!! We have to finish our dance in a huge, second position grande plie, IN SKIMPY SKIRTS. The skirt doesn't bother me cause we are wearing tights, but it's gonna look (and feel) weird to do. The end is really fast, but really fun! We didn't have tap the day of the flood :'(, but everything is coming back together (except the soccer fields next to our house, it's still Lake soccer field :).

Ballet 3 thu: We still have to strike a pose, but other than that. We are finished. I have to do Chanie turns ALL BY MYSELF (OK so it's only 3, but I have to do them by myself ONSTAGE where you can't really spot anything.) My teacher only picked 4 (out of 8 girls) to do the turns, so I do feel honored to be one of the girls who were picked!

Ballet 3 Sat: It's done (which you already know) and it's coming together quite nicely! I'm pretty happy!

So that's it!

Oh yah, and Carmel's recital is on Saturday, and I'm REALLY excited about going with my mom and little brother!

Floods and More classes

From now until the end of the year, I have dance EVERY SINGLE DAY EACH WEEK (except Sundays), because my tap teacher wants us to come to tap 2 on Mondays so we can practice our dance with them.

I REALLY HOPE WE HAVE CLASS TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We might not because we have had some serious storms, tornadoes, and FLOODS this past weekend... Observe this photo!

Here is your status update

Modern: Haven't had class since I last posted

Tap: Miss Renee took out the hardest part! I'm kind of sad about that though, because we hardly get to do TAP. The point of recital is to show off what we have learned! We aren't doing grab-offs, wing timesteps, shikibops, OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. Just toe-heels, which you learn in.... Tap intro. Other than that, it going pretty well!

Ballet 3 thu: We are ALMOST finished! I'm so excited! Basically all we have left, is posing at the end. My ballet teacher said that she found a picture on the internet of fairies and they are in different poses. This week she is bringing the photo, and we get to pick which fairy we want to be, and recreate that mural (with ourselves!)

Ballet 3 sat: WE ARE DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We just need to fix some parts up a little bit!


Costume wise:
