Lights, No Cameras, and ACTION!

I can't believe that it's here already! We have our winter dance concert today! We had dress rehearsal, and it went INCREDIBLY smoothly, we only went 22 minutes over (new record!), and the director said everything looked really good!

So anyway, the show is today, and I'm super excited! We have to be at the theater at 12:00, then we warm-up, do before performance rituals, etc. Then we have a show at 2:00, and as soon as the show is over, we get to go out to eat (this year without parents :o), and go back to the theater to do it all over again for a 7:00 show!

I'm really excited, I think it will a lot of fun, so wish me luck!

Something my Dance Teacher Told Me Today

If it were your last dance performance ever, what would you want it to be like? How would you want to look back? Would you wish you smiled more? would you wish that you didn't cry over your shoe falling off?  Sometimes things happen, you never know what might be the last, so dance every show, every class, every combination like it's the last.

New Years Resolutions

Let me just say, I am REALLY bad at keeping New Years Resolutions. I don't think I've ever met another person who broke there resolution on January 1st. Yes, it's true, last year I made a resolution to not drink soda for the entire year, and I had a glass of Sierra Mist on January 1st. That was successful.

This year, here are my New Years Resolutions:
  • Have better abs...
  • Get higher extension on developpes
  • Do a better job getting School done
  • Keep my new years resolutions (LOL)
  • See Britt Nicole and Demi Lovato in concert (haha, I don't think that's gonna happen)

For the Record...

So I meant to write this post yesterday, but I've been planning this post for most the year, so here you go! I have had a big year for first times at dance, and I have pictures to go with them!!!

I broke the shank in my pointe shoe for the first time.

I got a blister in pointe class that was so bad that it bled through my tights for the first time.

I COMPLETELY blew out my ballet slipper. Yes, they are leather, the hole got worse and worse until in turned into that.

Oh, and not to mention, I tapped the entire heal off the bottom of my tap shoe. I feel very impressive.
